In January, we welcome Rhian Caffull, founder of Veg Life, an award-winning plant-based food business proving that sustainability and commercial success can go hand in hand.
Rhian founded Veg Life during the pandemic with a simple ambition: to create artisan plant-based food that challenges perceptions and brings people together around great tasting food. What began as a passion project has grown into a nationally stocked brand, with more than 90,000 of Veg Life’s signature scotch eggs sold and products now available in independent retailers, cafés, farm shops and service stations across the UK.
Before launching Veg Life, Rhian spent years leading expeditions around the world, experiences that shaped her commitment to sustainability, community and creating a business with purpose. Today, those values remain at the heart of everything she does, from championing the UN Sustainable Development Goals to building a brand that encourages everyone – not just vegans and vegetarians – to think differently about the food they eat.
Balancing purpose with commercial growth, Rhian will share the story behind building a values-led business, the realities of scaling a food brand, and why staying true to your mission can become your greatest competitive advantage.
