Every founder spends time building their business.

Very few spend time intentionally building themselves as the leader their business needs to grow.

In December, we welcome Jen King. Jen is a Cotswolds-based founder running two very different product-based businesses.

She began Jen Winnett Art as a self-taught watercolour artist, growing it from paintings created around another job into an eco-friendly greetings card and gift brand stocked by hundreds of independent retailers, as well as the National Trust and RSPB. More than 250,000 of Jen’s cards have now been sold.

She is also the founder of addSQUIRREL, a tech platform that uses QR technology to add personal video, photo and voice messages to physical products and experiences.

Now balancing traditional retail, a growing technology business and motherhood, Jen shares the honest lessons, mistakes and unexpected similarities she has discovered along the way – and why she believes technology should make physical products feel more human, not less.
